PILL BOXES FOR SALE

This pill box was bought in the March des Puces in Paris, site of the original flea market. It is 1.25 ins in diameter and weighs a heavy 26.8 grams. The lid has a carving of a sphinx, lotus flower, and pyramids. It has foreign hallmarks for Sterling. It is probably from the 1920's when the tomb of Tutankhamun was discovered.
A circle of blue green banded agate in a shade reminiscent of the sea, tops an ornate Victorian era brass repousse box for rings or other treasures! In very good condition, opens to reveal the original beige velvet lining and beveled mirror. The design is a classic Victorian floral motif and is just delightful. Only wear to note is a few minor scratches to the agate, and some wear to the gold wash of the brass on the bottom. Otherwise, no chips or cracks to the agate, and the mirror and velvet inside are remarkably intact!
