A remarkable pin, words can not describe the beauty of this antique goldstone pin! A huge long domed oval goldstone it set in a simple pin frame. The gold stone is the most vibrant I've seen. It's 1 1/16 inches (28mm) long, nearly 1/2 inch (12mm) wide, and rises up nearly 1/4 inch (7mm) thick. The stone is set in a simple metal frame. The frame is goldwashed or rolled gold over top of some darm metal. So, it looks golden, but, is not solid gold. The pin is a very old blackened metal as well. The pin hooks with a simple foldover of metal, a c-like clasp unlike the mechanical clasps used later one. It's a true Victorian pin, not a modern one and the goldstone is sooooo much lovelier than newer ones. The stone is totally glittery, has a great shine with not chips, cracks, or scrapes. There's wear to the gold wash, but, very little so this pin looks amazing, it was clearly well cared for. No markings on reverse, but, on the pin frame, there's a child like design or a child in a robe on reverse, I wish I knew what that meant. Was it a maker's hallmark or a memorial put there by the owner in memory of a loved one for mourning perhaps?? If you love goldstone (as I do) then this pin is a MUST HAVE! Photos do not do it justice, it was very hard to photograph. Much more beautiful in person!

Exceptional Color USA Cut Umbalite Garnet
Stone: 3.37 ct Umbalite Garnet
Shape: Mixed Brilliant Oval
Size: 11.2 x 7.6 mm
Origin: Umba, Tanzania
Clarity: VS Eye Clean
Treatment: No Treatment
Umbalite Garnet has a unique chemical composition containing a mixture of Rhodolite, Pyrope and Almandite, with traces of Spessartite, each type bringing a unique beauty to this stone! Umbalite Garnet is extremely rare and production of this unusual gem has been irregular. It is highly sought-after by gem connoisseurs. The sole source of Umbalite Garnet is Tanzania's Umba Valley. Unlike plain rhodolite with it's raspberry purplish color is the addition spessartite allowing for this beautiful and rare shade. My stone is a lovely medium purplish-pink with secondary flashes of orange and violet. It is a showstopper and a color only a handful of stones have. It is expertly cut in the USA in a beautifully faceted Brilliant Oval. It is a natural, earth-mined, non-treated stone, that is extremely brilliant and beautifully faceted. It would make a fine center stone for a custom made ring or pendant, or a great addition to your gem collection. It has a lovely pink shade, tons of fire and a great shape for setting in a piece of jewelry. I bought this collector's stone with the intention of having it set by Alex Sepkus, but, have not had the time to have the ring made. Photos do not do it justice, it was impossible to photograph! I took tons of photos on this stormy snowy gray day and my camera would not cooperate and capture the beauty of this stone!

Stunning Purple Spinel - Great Color!
Stone: 1.88 ct Spinel
Shape: Oval
Size: 8.00 x 6.71 mm
Origin: Tunduru, Africa
Clarity: VS eye clean
Treatment: No treatment
This is a medium purple spinel with no visible inclusions. It is a natural, earth-mined, non-treated stone, that is extremely brilliant and beautifully faceted. It would make a fine center stone for a custom made ring or pendant, or a great addition to your gem collection. It has a lovely purple shade, tons of fire and a great shape for setting in a piece of jewelry. Spinel is a durable natural genuine gemstone that is perfect for all jewellery uses. It is most often faceted in oval, round, or cushion shapes and is not currently found in calibrated sizes due to its rarity.
Now treasured for its own sake, spinel is a favourite of gem dealers and collectors on account of its brilliance, hardness and wide range of spectacular colours. In addition to beautiful rich reds, spinel can be found in a range of gorgeous pastel shades of pink and purple. It is one of the most spectacular gemstone colours seen in any species at all. Spinel also comes in beautiful blue tones called cobalt spinel, but these are very, very rare.
Because stones made in a laboratory that are often used for imitation birthstone rings are often called "Spinels or Zircons", many people incorrectly think 'synthetic' when they hear the name spinel despite the fact that spinels are a rare natural gemstone. Often enough, they have never even seen the real thing.
In fact, the main factor preventing the spinel from achieving greater recognition is its rarity. Fine spinels are now rarer than the rubies they used to imitate. Strangely, they are also more affordable: in the gem world, being too rare can be a drawback because so few people even get a chance to develop a fondness for the varieties in question.

Gorgeous heart shaped lab created ruby heart bracelet set in 10kt yellow gold. This is so beautiful. The rubies are heart shaped and the links inbetween the rubies are heart shaped also, wow! The look is so pretty and so feminine. There are 10 rubies, each 6mm wide. They have a lovely perfect fuchsia cherry red color that is so lovely and almost electric, the stones are so vibrant (color is closer to that of the 1st 2 photos). The links inbetween the ruby hearts are open heart shaped links. The bracelet is 10kt yellow gold, is 6 7/8 inches long, and has a sturdy secure lobster clasp. The bracelet weighs 3.65 grams. (See my other listings for the matching ring sold separately.) Photos do not do it justice, it was impossible to photograph! Pre-owned but in new condition as it was not worn.

This is such a lovely pendant. 6 custom shaped fancy cut rich purple amethyst stones are channel set to fill a crescent moon custom bezel set pendant. So, the stones are set edge to edge so the moon is totally filled with blue amethyst, no prongs, etc. just stones. The effect is truly magical. The yellow gold crescent moon has a tiny white gold star with a tiny diamond center, twinkle twinkle little star! The amethyst is very vibrant and has a lovely purple color. Almost an voilet the prettiest shade, not pale like many amethysts sold today, the stones are stunning. The pendant is 5/8 inch (15mm) long an roughly 5/8 inch (15mm) wide at the widest point. It comes on a pretty lacey 20 inch 14kt chain (not the bead-like one in the photo, I'll be adding more photos later). This is soooo pretty. The total weight is 2.87 grams and both the pendant and chain are hallmarked (10kt on the pendant and 14kt on the pendant) plus the pendant has the designer's hallmark. Please check my other listings for this same pendant in all blue topaz in addition to other gemstone moon and star pendants. I loved the blue topaz one so much, that I received the other versions as gifts each year. However, I just don't wear pendants so it is a shame to see them sitting in the safety deposit box unworn. Photos do not do it justice, it was impossible to photograph!

This is the most stunning bracelet. It is a row of dancing polar bears covered in VS F/G diamonds with purple sapphires inbetween and emerald green eyes set in 14KT white gold! The bracelet in an antique, and reminds me of the Inuit Eskimo dancing polar bear soap stone carvings of the Cape Dorset region. There are 13 bears, each covered in 12 diamonds, for a total of 156 diamonds, each 2 points, for a total of 3.12 carats! There are 13 violet purple sapphires? (they compare to other violet sapphires I own and collect and are far more sparkly than amethyst typically are) each bezel set and roughly 3mm wide, probably 0.65 carats, making the stone weight on this bracelet nearly 4 carats. Their eyes are emerald green and appear to be enamel. However, they are so tiny, it's hard to tell if some are emeralds, but, I really think they are enamel meant to simulate emeralds based on looking at them with my loupe. The green white and violet colors are really striking together. The bracelet is 14mm wide at the widest point and 7 1/8 inches long, and 4mm thick. It weighs a heavy 31.69 grams, over 1 ounce!! The diamonds are VS+ and are super white, super clear, super sparkly, and frankly are blinding. You'll love them!! The purple sapphires are grape jelly violet, and sparkly, just beautiful. Double locking hidden clasp protects this stunner and is super secure! The bracelet is extremely well made, very fliud, and super comfortable to wear. What an amazing piece, one you won't see on anyone else. Perfect for bear lovers! And it is just lovely as a diamond bracelet as well. Nice item for collectors of suffragette jewelry also since it has those colors (purple white & green). I do not know if it was made by the owner with that intent in mind or if the colors are just a coincidence since they are so beautiful together. Clearly this is a custom/artist piece, nothing like you will see anywhere else!! Photographs do not do the bracelet justice, it was very hard to photograph since the diamonds are sooo sparkly.

What an amazing ring! A large oval garnet is set in a crown prong setting surrounded by Victorian/Georgian/Edwardian detail with rope borders, granulation or beaded edges, and a rope style band. This ring is so lovely. The garnet measures roughly 8mm tall and 6mm wide. It's an oval cut, and I believe it is a rholodite garnet. It's a lovely wine red, and when held to the light has a purplish red color, not the brown color of a pyrope garnet. The garnet in this ring is lovely. The ring design is lovely. The front of the ring is 17mm tall north to south, 14mm wide east to west, and the ring rises 7mm up above the finger. The ring is a size 7 (opening is 17mm in diameter) and the ring band is a twisted rope and is smooth and lovely and has a perfect oval shape that complements the finger rather than a round ring, so this fits so comfortablly. The ring is yellow gold (unmarked) and weighs 3.98 grams. I am not sure of the exact age of this ring. My mother bought it from a fine jeweler that specialized in high end fine jewelry and estate jewelry before I was born, so the ring is definitely over 42 years old if it were a new at the time but I think it was an estate piece. However, the ring is in immaculate and in like new condition because my Mother didn't wear it and stored it safely. Unfortunately, it was too big for her later on. Due to the all rope design of the band, I would not recommend that the ring be resized, but, an artisan jewelry might be willing to resize it. This is a gorgeous ring! My photos do not do it justice!

Stunning ring!! It has 3 large oval faceted blue topaz stones set in a row separated by gold double bars. A timeless modern design. These blue topaz are incredible, they are either electric or London blue, a deep rich blue. Not like any I see in other jewelry. The stones are large, probably 1 carat each for a total of 3+ carats. Each stone is roughly 7mm tall by 5mm wide. I really can't say enough about the color/clarity of these stones. They are a rich sea blue that is amazing. And these stones have no inclusions with a 30x loupe. Only one stone has a wee bit of wear at the edge of the table. Not surprising since it was worn and loved. But, it is only noticable wih a 30x loupe and not to the naked eye. So, it does not detract at all. This ring was ultra expensive when purchased, it was $800-$900 on sale at a fine jewelry 20 years ago!! So, this is top notch! Would make a lovely past present future ring over a diamond version or makes just a plain lovely righ hand ring to wear every day. The photos do not do the ring justice, the stones are much bluer, much brighter, and much richer in color than these pale washed out photos. The photo on the scale was taken before I had the ring cleaned. The ring is set in 14kt yellow gold and weighs 3.16 grams. It is hallmarked for the gold contact and the maker "KA" in a decorative mark. The ring is a size 7 (opening is 18mm in diamenter) and it can be resized by your jeweler.

What a gorgeous ring. A true Victorian ring, set in silver, holding a large oval faceted garnet, surrounded by rosecut marcasites. I can not express how gorgeous this ring is. The garnet has a lovely wine color that flashes crimson and has a lovely elongated oval shape. The garnet is roughly 10mm tall and 6mm wide as best I can measure in the bezel setting, is genuine, and is in amazing condition, no chips, nicks, etc. It is surrounded by marcasites that flash and glitter like black diamonds (thus why they were loved by the Victorians). The marcasites are roughly 2mm wide. All are present, none are missing, and all are original to the ring. There is also a little bit of Victorian engraving down the sides near the marcasites. The total ring face is 15mm tall and 11mm wide. The ring is a size 6, maybe a 6.25 (opening is 17mm in diameter), and the band is slightly off round but appears to have been constructed this way. It could be resized by a jeweler. It is silver (probably sterling), hallmarked "SILVER" (part of the letters are missing), and weighs 2.37 grams. In amazing vintage condition, this would make a truly lovely gift. Photos do not do it justice!

These darling 14k Yellow Gold earrings, are made from an Amethyst set in the center of a woven star. The slight curve to the lines of the star softens the appearance, and gives these a different designer look than most star outlines that are plain stars with harsh edges. The round faceted amethysts are bright and sparkly. They have a perfect "grape jelly" or "crayola purple" color that is highly desired. They are a great addition to any of your career ensembles, and are fun enough to go with any casual outfit also. These earrings will become your favorites. These earrings are 13mm wide at the widest point of the star and weigh 2.49 grams. They are substantail but not too heavy. The amethysts have vivid "grape jelly" purple color and are 5mm in diameter and weigh .92 carats. They are for pierced ears and have posts with push on clutch backs. They are 14kt yellow gold and are hallmarked as such. Photos do not do it justice!

What a gorgeous ring. And a very unusual one too. It is a reversible Cross ring. Set in sterling silver, it has a cross design in the center. One side of the cross is set in solid turquoise, the other side has a pretty filgree design made of hearts. The center cross turns around so you can wear the ring on either side, it's a great concept, you get 2 different looks from the same ring. The turquoise side is constucted of a single piece of real turquoise that is a lovely thick stone. It has a lovely blue-green shade, much prettier than it looks in the photos. It's beautifully done. The heart filagree is beautiful also. The ring is a size 7 (opening is 18mm in diameter) and might be resizable by a jeweler. The ring is 12mm tall in the front and 3mm wide in the back of the band. It is sterling silver, hallmarked .925, and weighs 4.19 grams. In like new condition, would make a lovely gift. Photos do not do it justice!
